Powering 24/7 Rice Mill Production Beyond an Unstable Grid in Myanmar
Project Overview
A major rice mill in Myanmar faced severe production constraints because the local grid supplied electricity for only 4-6 hours per day. To overcome this unreliable supply, the project deployed 3 GoodWe ET 50 kW hybrid inverters and 3 BAT 112.6 kWh battery systems, providing 150 kW of power capacity and 337.8 kWh of energy storage.
The solution gives the factory access to a stable, uninterrupted 24/7 power supply while supporting demanding motor loads. By significantly reducing reliance on both the grid and diesel generators, the system enables continuous production, delivers 60% energy self-sufficiency, and is expected to reduce operating costs by 57%.
