GoodWe Expands EO G2 Off-Grid Solution to the Philippines, Supporting Energy Resilience for Homes and Businesses

GoodWe Expands EO G2 Off-Grid Solution to the Philippines, Supporting Energy Resilience for Homes and Businesses-Latest News from GoodWe

The latest market launch extends GoodWe’s off-grid offering across Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia, addressing demand for flexible and resilient energy solutions across diverse grid environments.

MANILA, Philippines — GoodWe has launched its EO G2 off-grid inverter in the Philippines, with products from the first shipment now available locally. Following earlier market introductions in Nigeria, Kenya and Bangladesh, the launch further expands the EO G2’s presence across Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia.

The rollout comes as distributed energy solutions become increasingly relevant in markets where grid reliability, remote geography and challenging operating environments can affect access to stable electricity. Designed for residential and small commercial applications, the EO G2 gives users greater flexibility in how they generate, store and use energy, particularly in off-grid and weak-grid environments.

Addressing Reliable Power Needs Across Island Communities

With more than 7,000 islands, the Philippines presents a distinctive energy landscape. Geographic dispersion, varying grid conditions and the challenges of extending conventional power infrastructure can make reliable electricity access more difficult in remote and island communities.

Gabriel Silan, Deputy General Manager of the Philippine Solar and Storage Energy Alliance (PSSEA), joined the GoodWe launch event and shared perspectives on the development of the local market.

“The EO G2 arrives at the right time, addressing a clear market need for affordable and reliable off-grid power,” said Silan.

For homes and businesses operating in such environments, distributed solar and storage systems can provide greater flexibility in managing energy supply, particularly where grid power is unavailable or unreliable.

Designed for Off-Grid and Weak-Grid Applications

The EO G2 is designed to operate as part of an integrated solar and battery energy system across a range of residential and small commercial applications.

Its IP66-rated enclosure and operating temperature range of -35°C to 60°C support deployment in demanding outdoor environments, including hot, humid and rainy conditions. A backup switchover time of less than 4 milliseconds helps maintain power to connected loads during interruptions.

The EO G2 also supports generator integration and parallel operation of up to 10 inverter units, allowing systems to be configured for different load profiles and power requirements.

Together, these capabilities enable users to combine solar generation, battery storage and other power sources more flexibly, supporting both day-to-day energy use and continuity of supply when grid electricity is unavailable or unreliable.

Combining Product Deployment With Local Support

“Introducing a product to a new market is only one step. Wider adoption also depends on local technical capabilities and close engagement with installers and partners,” said James Hou, General Manager of GoodWe South Asia and Southeast Asia.

In the Philippines, GoodWe has established local support covering sales, pre-sales, marketing and after-sales service. The company also conducts four to five installer training sessions each month, maintaining regular technical engagement with local partners and supporting capabilities across installation, commissioning and service.

“Through the EO G2 launch in the Philippines, we are combining an adaptable off-grid solution with the local support needed for long-term deployment, while continuing to expand our off-grid offering across international markets where energy reliability and flexibility remain important considerations,” James Hou added.
