GoodWe Roadshow Empowers Malaysia’s Energy Transition with Deep‑Rooted Localised Strategy

GoodWe Roadshow Empowers Malaysia’s Energy Transition with Deep‑Rooted Localised Strategy-Latest News from GoodWe

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – October 12, 2026 – As Southeast Asia accelerates its energy transition, residential and commercial solar storage markets are seeing robust demand growth. GoodWe, a global leader in smart energy solutions, hosted a major PV‑storage roadshow in Kuala Lumpur. The event drew more than one hundred local distributors, installers, EPC contractors and industry stakeholders. GoodWe showcased a full portfolio of residential and commercial PV‑storage products optimised for Malaysia’s tropical market, and unveiled key local market initiatives, demonstrating its firm commitment to deepening its footprint in Malaysia.

The roadshow was well‑attended, with over one hundred industry clients gathering to discuss hot‑button topics including residential energy storage adoption, commercial & industrial peak‑valley arbitrage, demand‑side management and grid compatibility in Malaysia. Participants represented key links across the industrial chain ranging from distribution channels and system integration to technical installation and industry associations, reflecting a strong market appetite for high‑performance, locally‑adapted PV‑storage solutions. During the event, GoodWe officially signed a MOU with SHRDC of Malaysia. Both parties will carry out in‑depth collaboration in multiple areas including joint development of technical standards, workforce competency building and industry seminars, to collectively drive the standardised and high‑quality development of Malaysia’s solar and energy storage sector.

On the day immediately following the roadshow, GoodWe held an official ribbon‑cutting ceremony for its joint showroom with SHRDC in Malaysia, witnessed by industry guests, business partners and representatives from Selangor Human Resource Development Centre (SHRDC). The inauguration marks GoodWe’s establishment of a complete local training and technical service capability in Malaysia.

Integrating physical product displays, system solution demonstrations and hands‑on practical training, the showroom will serve as a permanent venue for a full spectrum of local activities. These include technical enablement for channel partners across Malaysia, hands‑on certification training for installers, product certification workshops, as well as solution demonstration and discussion sessions for clients.

In the past, local partners were constrained by limited venues and hardware prototypes for technical training. The new SHRDC‑affiliated showroom enables trainees to inspect real‑world PV‑storage hardware up close, conduct hands‑on system exercises, fault simulation and troubleshooting, and complete system commissioning drills — moving beyond theoretical classroom‑only training. This physical hub fills critical gaps along GoodWe’s value chain in Malaysia, spanning pre‑sales product demonstration, mid‑sales technical empowerment and after‑sales service delivery. It will continuously deliver standardised, field‑oriented practical training tailored to local Malaysian operating conditions, improving on‑site project delivery and maintenance competency among local service providers, and laying solid talent and service foundations for reliable PV‑storage deployments nationwide.

“Malaysia stands as a key market for energy transition in Southeast Asia,” commented GoodWe’s South‑East Asia Regional General Manager James. “GoodWe delivers far more than inverters and energy‑storage hardware. By leveraging the joint showroom with SHRDC as our platform, we embed technology, training and services deep into local markets. Together with our partners, we aim to capture opportunities brought by Malaysia’s energy transition.”

At the roadshow, the 16 kWh Lynx A G4 high‑capacity low‑voltage battery was highlighted as a flagship residential offering, optimised for Malaysia’s hot and humid tropical climate. Built with Lithium‑Iron‑Phosphate (LFP) cells and a multi-layer safety design, the battery offers enhanced thermal stability and long-term reliability. Boasting IP65 dust‑proof and water‑proof rating, it reliably copes with Malaysia’s high temperatures, high humidity and heavy rainfall for both indoor and semi‑outdoor installations. Its advanced smart Battery Management System (BMS) provides real‑time monitoring of cell voltage, temperature and State‑of‑Charge (SOC), with multi‑layer active protection against over‑current, over‑voltage and over‑temperature.

Featuring plug‑and‑play modular design supporting parallel expansion, the 16 kWh Lynx A G4 caters to scenarios from basic household backup power to higher-capacity energy storage needs for households with greater electricity demand. It achieves seamless interoperability with GoodWe’s EO G2 off‑grid inverter and ET LV Upgrade hybrid inverter. Supported by the SEMS+ cloud platform, it enables remote firmware updates and real‑time mobile monitoring, helping Malaysian households boost self‑consumption of solar power, achieve greater energy independence and mitigate impacts of grid volatility.

Targeting high‑energy‑consumption commercial and industrial sites including manufacturing plants, industrial parks and commercial complexes across Malaysia, GoodWe showcased its 261 kWh C&I energy‑storage cabinet, engineered to align with local tariff policies and equatorial operating conditions. Addressing common local pain‑points such as peak‑valley tariff gaps, maximum demand control, grid fluctuations and short‑term power outages, the unit delivers multi‑functional value covering peak‑shaving & valley‑filling, demand management, solar power absorption and emergency backup power.

An optimised thermal management system supports stable operation under high ambient temperatures, addressing the demands of Malaysia's tropical climate. With compact outdoor cabinet form‑factor and IP55 protection rating plus front‑access maintenance design, it significantly reduces on‑site installation and maintenance complexity and adapts to diverse deployment locations such as plant yards and open zones within industrial parks. Supporting multi‑unit cluster expansion, the system satisfies energy‑saving requirements for small‑and‑medium‑size factories as well as large‑scale storage projects for industrial parks and data centres. It helps local enterprises cut electricity expenses while advancing corporate low‑carbon goals, fully in line with Malaysia’s national energy transition roadmap.

During the roadshow, GoodWe technical specialists walked through real‑world Malaysian project cases for the two flagship products, covering solution architecture, installation best practices and interactive Q&A sessions. Participating partners held in‑depth discussions over system configuration, installation codes and project return‑on‑investment calculations. Distributor representatives commented that Malaysia’s residential and commercial energy‑storage markets are undergoing rapid growth. GoodWe’s MOU signing with SHRDC and the official launch of the joint showroom will substantially upgrade technical capabilities for local installers. Meanwhile, the G4 battery and 261 kWh C&I storage cabinet, purpose‑built for tropical operating environments, precisely address genuine market pain‑points.

Drawing on its global footprint covering more than 100 countries and regions, GoodWe continues to scale resource investment across Southeast Asia. The roadshow, MOU signing and SHRDC showroom inauguration mark major milestones of GoodWe’s localisation strategy in Malaysia. Moving forward, GoodWe will keep delivering PV‑storage integrated solutions tailored to local climate, policies and application scenarios. Empowered by regular training programmes hosted at the new showroom, GoodWe will grow its partner ecosystem and join industry stakeholders to support Malaysia renewable energy targets.
