Guangde Economic Zone Named in China’s First Zero-Carbon Industrial Park List, Highlighting GoodWe's Role

GoodWe announced that its Guangde manufacturing facility has been part of Guangde Economic Development Zone’s inclusion in China’s first list of National Zero-Carbon Industrial Parks.

The list was released on 26 December 2025, aiming to build benchmark zero-carbon parks in China. GoodWe’s Guangde facility in Anhui Province, its largest production base globally, has played a role in supporting the zone’s inclusion.

The zero-carbon industrial park serves as a practical model for new energy systems, enabling distributed energy, storage, microgrids, green power trading, integrated generation–grid–load–storage, AI-assisted coordination, and carbon management to operate in synergy. GoodWe's operational roadmap aligns with this broader zero-carbon goal and strategy. The company’s Guangde facility serves as a showcase for applying its generation–grid–load–storage–intelligence strategy to advance the zero-carbon transition.

The facility has deployed a 4.7 MW photovoltaic system, generating approximately 4.8 million kWh of green electricity annually, along with a 5,210 kWh energy storage system. An intelligent microgrid, integrated with the WE Smart Energy Management Platform, enables coordinated management of solar generation, energy storage, EV charging, and on-site electricity consumption.

By mid-2025, green electricity made up 41% of total energy use at the Guangde park, keeping the site on track to reach peak carbon emissions by 2027 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. The facility is also exploring green power trading and virtual power plant operations, translating carbon reduction efforts into measurable environmental and economic value.

This latest achievement follows GoodWe's inclusion in Anhui Province's Zero-Carbon Industrial Park initiative in 2024, highlighting its role in accelerating the industrial energy transition.
