GoodWe Releases New High-capacity Hybrid Inverter to Help Minimize Household and Business Energy Bills

GoodWe (Stock Code: 688390), a global leading PV inverter and energy storage solution manufacturer, rolled out its innovative three-phase hybrid inverter, ET Series (15 – 30kW). Developed for large residential to small commercial and industrial rooftop applications, the high-voltage inverters facilitate powerful energy back-up and intelligent peak shaving and load management for optimised autonomy and reduced energy cost.

The new hybrid inverter models represent an extension of GoodWe’s popular ET Series. Meeting the needs of larger residential PV rooftops while also introducing a solution for small C&I systems, the 15–30kW models allow for DC input current of 15A for each string, thus matching well with high-power solar modules. Furthermore, the series offers up to 150% DC input oversizing to maximize energy production and achieve high levels of self-consumption and reduction of electricity bills.

In addition to the high-capacity range, the storage inverter is characterized by its strong overloading capability in back-up mode. This feature enables uninterrupted operation even when surge power demand exceeds the inverter’s nominal power rating. Moreover, the ET Series presents peak shaving that balances power demand and grid power imported, to effectively reduce peak power demand from the grid. Thanks to dry contacts in the inverter, external loads such as heat pumps can also be flexibly activated to optimize energy consumption.

Ensuring high safety standards of the inverter and PV system, the inverter is equipped with Type II SPD on DC side, and optional arc-fault circuit interrupter (AFCI).

This high-quality inverter can be combined with a range of battery capacities and brands, including the GoodWe high-voltage battery Lynx Home F PLUS+ Series. By adding up to eight identical battery sets connected in parallel, the storage capacity can be expanded to 131kWh, thereby meeting demanding project requirements from self-consumption optimization to backup usage.

Solar-plus-storage is already well-established as a future-proof solution for the residential segment. Following suit, the commercial energy storage system market is set for significant growth and GoodWe is expanding its portfolio with comprehensive solutions to meet new customer demands. Upcoming product innovations include a 50–100kW hybrid inverter, a respective AC-coupled retrofit inverter, as well as a compatible commercial battery system.

The C&I product portfolio will further enhance the position of GoodWe in the fast-growing renewable energy market.
